Children receive structured Drama Tuition, delivered by an experienced performing arts practitioner, using text and scripts from their favourite musicals to explore the subject.

Each term, we work with the group to develop their skills in the following areas:

Improvisation
Devising
Characterisation
Public speaking and acting through song - Vocal projection, diction, articulation, diaphragmatic breathing, pitch and control
Empathy and emotional intelligence through character and script analysis
Physical and spatial awareness
Rhythmic awareness
Listening skills
Teamwork
Performance

Through this active dramatic study, children build confidence and competency in skills that are transferrable across the board.

Pupils take part in two performance presentations a year to demonstrate their skills, artistic progression, and development.
